Welcome! Thanks for stopping by. Check back here frequently to keep up with my lastest projects. OCBSA Annual Recognition Dinner
I had the pleasure of again photographing this year’s Orange County Council, Boy Scouts of America Annual Recognition Dinner, featuring the 2012 Silver Beaver Awards at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Buena Park, California on March 13, 2013. www.OCBSA.org
I am an Eagle Scout from the Orange Council and I have enjoyed being involved in the Boy Scouts again by photographing several events a year for the last two years.
Congratulation to all of this year’s award winners. "Working With An Assignment Photographer" by the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP)If you or someone you know needs to commission an assignment (commercial - editorial) photographer, like myself, to tell your story for an event you are having or, for marketing materials you are producing, I have found a workbook written by the American Society of Media Photographer (ASMP) that explains the "why, what and how" entitled, "Working with an Assignment Photographer." "This handbook was developed by the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) to illustrate the fundamental principles involved during a typical commercial photography assignment. By defining key terms, answering commonly asked questions and describing today’s best practices, it guides you through the entire process of working with an assignment photographer." - ASMP Please find the PDF here.
"10 Reason Professional Photographers Charge What They Do" by Lori OsterbergFor years I have tried, with various degrees of success, to explain to people why I charge what I do for my professional photography services. I ran across this article by Lori Osterberg in HubPages that does a very good job of answering that question. Please find the article here. Still have questions? Contact me - I am always happy to help you tell your story!

"Are you Tougher Than a Boy Scout?" Premiere PartyFamily and friends attended "our" premiere party on Monday, March 4th, in Redlands, California, for the new National Geographic show, Are You Tougher Tan a Boy Scout? which features my cousin's son, Rio Gifford. Hundreds of Boy Scouts from across the country auditioned and only 12 were chosen. Rio is one of the few Scouts that appears in every episode. About the Show "Are You Tougher Than a Boy Scout? is an exciting yet moving, reality competition series wherein 6 elite Boy Scouts will compete against different adult men in a variety of scout-based challenges. Over a course of three days and two nights, the scouts will compete and judge the adults in adventurous challenges." - National Geo Channel Here is the link to the show's website: http://channel.nationalgeographic.com/channel/are-you-tougher-than-a-boy-scout/ The show is on the National Geo Channel weekly until April 8th. Check your local listings. Congratulations Rio - a star is born!
