This is the 40th Anniversary of the opening of the Noguchi Garden near South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, California. In 1992 while photographing a wedding reception of a Filipino bride and Japanese groom in the Noguchi Garden, I created an image titled "Modern Oriental" that went on to win multiple photographic competition awards around the world.
