Natalia Osipova and Ivan Vasiliev rehearsal with Authur Pita, "Facada" in "Solo for Two"These are the images used in the program of the first rehearsal of international ballet stars Natalia Osipova and Ivan Vasiliev with choreographer Arthur Pita as they worked through the basic elements of "Facada", one of three new ballets to premiere in “Solo for Two” to be performed at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts.
"Jersey Boys" special events at the Segerstrom Center for the ArtsThe "Jersey Boys"- The story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons rolling into Orange County for a short run at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts. On the opening night their was a Presidents dinner and a special "Friends Lounge" was set up in the lobby for the Friends of the Center to enjoy before the show.
Jill Sager and Kelly Flickinger Engagement Portrait Session.As I do with every bride and groom I work with, I meet up with Jill Sager and Kelly Flickinger in Laguna Beach to talk over a game plan for their wedding on August 9th in Newport Beach and we then did some casual portraits to get to know each other with the camera between us as the sun went down.
42nd AFI Lifetime Achievement Award - Jane FondaJane Fonda received this years 42nd AFI Lifetime Achievement Award. I worked for AFI and photographed her at a cocktail reception at Spago on Wednesday night and then at the Tribute Gala honoring her at the Dolby Theatre last night.
Perfect China - 6,000 in a group photograph at the Ananhiem Convention CenterLong-time photographer friend, Steve Dawson and I had an historic opportunity to work with PSAV Presentation Services to photograph over 6,000 Chinese attendees at a conference for Perfect China outside the Anaheim Convention Center. I then photographed that same 6,000 as they enjoyed a sit down dinner and show one of the convention halls that night. About a month ago I was contacted about my availability to be a part of the project. I meet with Steve at the Anaheim Convention to look at the location. When we first looked at the space I said there is no way all those people will fit. Then we started to walk it off – figuring how many people would fit across and how many rows we would need. To our surprise they would fit. This is the largest group from China to visit the United States and California and it was an amazing sight to see and photograph.
